Black History Month

Black History is American History.  It is about learning the history of all people, but especially African Americans who have paved the way as trailblazers.

U.S. Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm was the first black woman to ever run for President of the United States in the 1972 U.S. presidential election.  I am sure alot of people questioned her actions to take on a white male dominated presidential race, but she did not let that stop her.  You see Shirley did not see fear.  She saw a challenge and she was ready, willing and able.  Being the first woman ever to run for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.

Shirley was a trailblazer who wanted to be remembered as someone who was a catalyst for change in America.   Now we fast forward to year 2021 and we have our first Black-Indian American female Vice President.  You see if it was not for a fearless woman such as Shirley we would not have had a trailblazer like Kamala.  Both made history not just about Black History but about American History.
